It does not take much to make a BIG difference. You can help provide funding for our youth in the following ways:

• $25 buys detergent and quarters for a month’s worth of laundry
• $45 buys a monthly cell phone bill, a safety necessity in intercity Los Angeles
• $60 pays for a 90-minute English tutoring session for our English Language Learners
• $125 buys a costly textbook commonly required in math and science classes
• $150 provides our youth with food for a month when they are between jobs and do not have parents to rely upon
• $500 covers a month’s rent during the winter and summer months when financial aid is not available to full-time students but the rent must still be paid

Volunteer!  

The Serpentine Project is always looking for committed volunteers. Current high-need areas include:

• Tutors in math
• Tutors in English as a second language
• Tutors in English composition
• Job-Shadow Hosts who can welcome a Serpentine Youth into their offices for one day, exposing our youth to diverse professional opportunities
